Where is La Gala?

What time does La Gala begin?

Join us for our reception at 5PM. Dinner and our program will start at 7PM.

What will La Gala be like?

Among friends, family and our Hacienda community, we will enjoy a very special evening together, highlighting some of the best from our Latino community. During the first part of the evening, help us celebrate Día de los Muertos by placing your own mark on our ofrenda, enjoying drinks and appetizers, and more. 

At 7PM, we’ll take our seats in the grand ballroom for a 3-course, Latino-inspired dinner and enjoy a program featuring special performances, remarks from CEO Ernesto Fonseca, and keynote speaker, José M. Hernández. José is a Mexican-American former NASA astronaut and engineer who shows how our own potential is as boundless as the universe. 

La Gala is our gift to you—so we hope you’ll join us for a wonderful night out that celebrates everyone who has been part of our journey. 

What type of food and drinks will be served?

Our hosted bars will offer beer, wine, a specialty cocktail and non-alcoholic beverages. We’ll share Latino-inspired appetizers during the reception and enjoy a 3-course dinner including dessert. 

Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options will be available, please consult your server.

What should I wear to La Gala?

Let’s make this an elegant night to remember! Culturally formal wear and evening wear is strongly encouraged.

The hotel is conveniently located near multiple public transit stops:

• Convention Center Max Light Rail Station (Red, Green, and Blue Lines)
• Located off Hotel’s Southeast Plaza (MLK and Holladay)
• Portland Streetcar B Loop – Located three block Northeast of Hotel on NE Broadway & Grand Ave
• Portland Streetcar A Loop – Located two blocks Northeast of Hotel on NE Weidler & Grand Ave
• Uber, Lyft, and Other Ride Share Services – Hotel has a designated pick up and drop off located on the Hotel’s front drive
• Portland Int’l Airport – TriMet Train Red Max Line

Where can I park?

Street parking and paid lots are available near the venue. Please observe the posted time limits.

Can I bring children?

This event is appropriate for adults and older teens.

What are the accessibility features that will be available La Gala?

The Hyatt is an ADA-accessible venue. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to elevate your evening with us.

How can I donate to Hacienda at the event?

You will be asked for your credit card during the registration process when you arrive to start a tab. You will then be provided a bid paddle to make any donations or purchases. The credit card on file will be charged at the end of the night to include all of your purchases. You will only be charged for what you spend. You will be emailed your receipt, or we can print one for you that night. You can also bring a check or cash to pay for purchases at checkout.
